The learning organisation
An organisation designed to turn experience into shared capability. Incident learnings travel between teams, postmortem actions are audited to completion, slack is funded for learning, and leadership reviews ask what was learned as seriously as they ask what was shipped.
Evidence grade: practice A widely adopted practitioner model with clear provenance.
Use it when
Executive scope; building the learning loops and the coaching cascade into the institution.
Where it stops working
The book's claims about systems thinking go further than what is used here. A learning culture that exists only in policy dies in the first executive review that looks for someone to blame.
Where the standard uses it
- CC-2Coaching versus directingDeveloping judgment in others.
