Roadmap

Built in the open.

Where the Academy is today and what comes next. Dates are deliberately absent — each item ships when it meets the standard, not when a calendar says so.

Live Today
EMA-I — Engineering Management Associate
The full certification journey is live: scheduled examinations, immediate scoring, credential issuance, and public verification. Free for a limited time while the credential establishes recognition.
Public credential verification
Any recruiter, hiring manager, or peer can verify any credential by ID in seconds — no account required. Shareable verification links work directly.
Public member profiles
Credential holders can share a public profile of their certifications, with full privacy controls.
In Development
EMP-II — Engineering Management Professional
The second-tier examination for experienced engineering managers. The question bank is in development under the published blueprint: 75 questions, 105 minutes, 75% pass standard. Join the waitlist on the EMP-II page to be notified when registration opens.
Downloadable PDF credentials
A print-quality PDF of every certificate, generated server-side, alongside the existing web credential.
Planned
EME-III — Engineering Management Expert
The capstone tier for senior engineering leaders: 90 questions, 120 minutes, 80% pass standard. Opens after EMP-II is established.
Expiry reminders & recertification flow
Automatic notifications ahead of credential expiry, with a streamlined path to recertify against the current framework.
LinkedIn sign-in
A third sign-in option alongside the existing providers, reflecting where engineering leadership careers live.

One thing that will never be on this roadmap: training products. EMA is an independent certification authority — adding courses or coaching would compromise the very thing that makes the credential worth holding. Read more in About the Academy.
